Register Your Warranty
To activate the full 3-Year Warranty, register your SHAYN product within 30 days of purchase.

1. Warranty Coverage
All SHAYN petrol-powered garden machinery and power tools are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of the warranty period from the original date of purchase.

3 Year Warranty (activated by registration within 30 days):
- Year 1: Parts + Labour
- Years 2–3: Parts Only (customer responsible for labour and carriage)
- If not registered within 30 days, a 1-Year Parts + Labour Warranty applies by default.
2. Residential / Non-Commercial Use
Products purchased for private, domestic use are covered for the full duration of the warranty (3 years with registration; 1 year otherwise).
3. Commercial / Hire Use
- Commercial use: 1-Year Parts + Labour Warranty
- Hire use: 90 Days Parts + Labour Warranty
4. Policy Notes
- The warranty period runs continuously from the original purchase date and does not restart after a repair or replacement.
- Warranties are non-transferable.
- Products must be maintained and serviced as per SHAYN’s instructions using the correct oils and parts.
- Proof of maintenance may be required for claims beyond the first year.
5. Warranty Claim Process
- Contact SHAYN Aftersales Support via shayntoolsinfo@gmail.com or 07426 228153.
- We will guide you through diagnostics to confirm the fault.
- If required, we will arrange collection or advise on return for inspection.
- If confirmed as a manufacturing defect, parts and/or labour will be covered per your warranty tier. Out-of-warranty or misuse-related repairs will be chargeable (including return shipping).
6. Transit & Return Conditions
- Drain all fuel and oil prior to return.
- Securely package the machine (retain original packaging where possible).
- SHAYN assumes responsibility only once goods are received and inspected at our service centre.
- Returns from remote areas (Highlands, Islands, non-mainland UK) may incur a surcharge.
7. Parts-Only Claims
- Customers may request replacement parts under warranty.
- Clear photographic evidence of a failed component may be accepted.
- If inspection is required, the part may need to be returned.
- Confirmed manufacturing defects will be replaced free of charge.
8. Warranty Limitations
This warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not apply to wear/tear, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow operating instructions.
- General wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse
- Lack of maintenance, incorrect storage, frost/overheating damage, or water ingress
- Fuel issues (stale/contaminated fuel, incorrect mixture/type)
- Consumables/wearing parts (e.g., spark plugs, air filters, gaskets, bars, chains, blades, trimmer heads, bearings, brushes, wheels, tyres)
- Repairs or modifications not approved by SHAYN; altered/removed serial numbers
- Transit damage after delivery (must be reported within 24 hours of receipt)
9. Store Credit Policy (1-Year Warranties)
For products covered by a 1-Year Warranty, any warranty claim submitted after 60 days from purchase will be eligible for store credit only (no direct refunds). Store credit can be used towards the purchase of any SHAYN product.
10. Returns, Cancellations & Change of Mind
- Unused goods may be returned within 14 days in original, unopened packaging.
- Returns incur a minimum 5% restocking & carriage fee. Items over 70kg may require the customer to pay full return shipping costs.
- Cancellations must be requested before dispatch (2:30pm for orders placed before 2pm; 9am next working day for orders placed after 2pm).
- Refunds are processed after returned goods are received and inspected.
11. Warranty Resolution (First 30 Days)
If a product develops a fault within 30 days, SHAYN will repair, replace (like-for-like), or refund the item. Please allow up to 14 working days for inspection and resolution. Misuse or accidental damage is not covered.
